E-Invoicing Mandate: Finance Desk is Legally Compliant

Since January 1, 2026, electronic invoicing is mandatory for all B2B transactions in Germany. Finance Desk fully meets these requirements — when creating, receiving, and archiving structured documents according to the European standard EN 16931. All relevant formats are supported: ZUGFeRD, Factur-X (French ZUGFeRD variant), XRechnung with CIUS extensions, UBL-Invoice, and CII.

  • Creating: The format is stored in the debtor master data record — Finance Desk automatically generates the appropriate XML. For XRechnungen, this includes the routing ID (Leitweg-ID).
  • Receiving: Incoming e-invoices are imported via the system inbox. The XML data is extracted, metadata is adopted, and prepared as a human-readable view.
